From 27 countries, one shared commitment: supporting young children through music.

Building on the 2020 Color of Us collaboration, this updated Global View features information from 27 countries in celebration of the 2026 World Congress of Music Therapy on Bologna, Italy.

Examining this information helps illuminate where music therapists work, how services are funded, and how professional workforces are developing across different regions of the world.

The data also offers valuable perspective on opportunities, challenges, and the evolving reach of music therapy services for young children and families.

Originally launched in 2020 through an international collaboration involving colleagues from 41 countries, Colors of Us highlighted the diversity of music therapy with young children around the world. The 2026 update continues this shared effort with newly contributed country infographics and revised demographic information connected to early childhood music therapy practice.

Alongside the infographic project, music therapists from around the world have gathered through free online events, collaborative presentations, and international dialogue focused on young children, families, and global perspectives in music therapy.
